Anekdoten, frühe Skripte, Aussagen aller Mitwirkenden etc. machen das Buch vom Text her allein einen Kauf wert.Hinzu kommen Filmfotos, Storyboards und Entwürfe auf JEDER Seite. Man hat mit sämtlichen Zeichnungen und Vorproduktionsgemälden sogar ein "Art of Indiana Jones - Buch" inklusive. Das sehr große (!) querformatige Buch braucht nach hinten ins Regal so viel Platz wie ein Fotoalbum. Es wurde durchgängig auf festeren Papier farbig gedruckt!Alle 4 Teile werden umfangreich beleuchtet, besonders der 1. Film!Die derzeit angesetzten 20 Euro (Stand: Juni 2008) für die reichhaltigen 300 Seiten hier sind mehr als nur sehr preiswert!!! Die alten Bücher "Das große Buch über Harrison Ford und Indiana Jones" (edel - Verlag) und der Bildband "Von Star Wars bis Indiana Jones" waren bisher die besten Sekundär-Bücher und sind nun nur noch eine nette Ergänzung zu diesem neuen überlegenen Prachtexemplar.Klare Kaufempfehlung für dieses tolle Making of Buch!
This is probably the best making-of-the-movie book I've read so far this year.A lot of effort must have been put into research. Considering when the first Indiana Jones movie was shot, I'm very impressed by how they manage to document all this information.The book is about the production process of the 4 Indy movies, up to the Crystal Skull. The narration explains in great detail all the events that happen behind the scenes. It's filled with lots of interviews. Read from how Spielberg came up with Indy's name to the last day of shooting Crystal Skull where Harrison Ford gave Shia LaBeouf a signed hat.Reading the book is like working on the set itself. For that, it's worth the price alone.There are hundreds of high resolution production photos. Several art illustrations were put in also, such as posters, storyboards and set designs. There are 300 pages in this 15-inch (screen measurement) book.For fans of Indiana Jones, this will be an immensely satisfying book. For non-fans, this book will still impress. Hallo Indy Fans,meine Sammlung umfasst einiges - dieses Buch ist aber die Krönung, oder der gelungene Abschluss. Ein umfassenderes Werk kann man sich kaum vorstellen. Die Aufmachung ist hochwertig, das Format sehr interessant. Die vielen Bilder vom Set, von Drehpausen, von Blicken hinter die Kulissen bieten wirklich sehr viel. Persönlich hätte ich mir noch ein zwei Seiten zu dem typischen Indy Equipment (Hut, Jacke, Peitsche etc.) gewünscht. Nicht, dass ich das nicht alles hätte, aber für die Komplettierung des Buches hätte ich es gut gefunden.Alles in allem trotzdem sehr zu empfehlen (man sollte allerding des Englischen mächtig sein).
I am a huge fan of the "Indiana Jones" series, even though I was slightly disappointed with the most recent film. However, this `coffee-table' style book is a classic keeper! Authors J. W. Rinzler and Laurent Bouzereau piece together all the information any fan could want. From the inception where George Lucas and Steven Spielberg first start the process to the final sequel, there's a ton of information here. It's almost comical the way the storyboards are so carefully and accurately drawn and then filmed. The chronicling of the initial three films is a lesson in production where you get the inside scoop from Spielberg, Lucas and the cast and crew, especially the last ("Crystal Skull") film. I particularly liked the section on "deleted scenes" as some seemed like a good idea and others were just plain silly. This book would make a great present as well.
Diese 300-Seiten Schwarte lässt wirklich keine Wünsche mehr offen: Hervorragend aufgemacht, mit vielen (neuen) Fotos, Dokumentauszügen, Skizzen und Storyboards, wird die komplette Entstehungsgeschichte der vier Indiana Jones Filme detailreich erzählt, von der ersten Idee 1977 bis zur Postproduktion des letzten Filmes in 2008. Durch die sehr enge Zusammenarbeit der Autoren mit den Machern der Filme fehlt zwar stellenweise die kritische Distanz, aber dafür wurden auch so manche Schätze aus den Archiven geborgen, die dieses Making-Of Buch zu einer hochspannenden Lektüre nicht nur für Indiana Jones-Fans machen.
